Located in downtown, near the train station of Tours, the CCC is a recognized art center that presents and produces international artists. It invites you to meet a privileged art as current in all its forms. At the heart of the Loire Valley, the CAC allows the city of Tours and the Touraine to be truly engaged in artistic creation of his time. The CCC is one of the first Centres of Contemporary Art created in France in 1985. It is also the only one in Central Region. Its programming has always favored large solo exhibitions, from the long-term dialogues with artists, they are already known or at the beginning of their career.

 

THE PLACE

Behind the facade of Philip Chiambaretta light, an area of six hundred square meters dedicated to artists is constantly being renewed at a rate exposures. Meanwhile, a white cube and an auditorium will enrich the programming throughout the year with various events: exceptional works, performances, videos, discussions with artists, lectures ...

PRODUCTION

The increasingly diverse projects undertaken by the CCC show that engagement with the artists often exceeds the single context of exposure to be embodied in different types of projects: the CCC since 1997 and develops a production activity under the label Artists Agency.

OUTSIDE WALLS

Through active partnerships with the private sector or public, many exhibits can be created outside the Centre. An annual agreement with the City of Chinon enables the creation of exhibitions of international artists. The regional program broadcast the « "Mississippi Mermaid" » articulates artistic events bringing together different cultural areas in the Centre region around a single artist in one year.

PUBLICS

These projects outside the Center as its walls are about a constant desire to facilitate the meeting between the work of artists and the public : the Public Services and the regional distribution and the Student Office, which trains students different universities, contribute to the sensitization and training of public or future professionals to contemporary art.
